Description

The Traditional Column Radiator 1800mm x 180mm features 4 vertical columns, each one with 2 sections (total width: 68mm). This arrangement generates an impressive heat output of 732 Watts (2,496 BTUs), warming your room to a comfortable temperature. Constructed from tubular mild steel, with a high quality white powder coat finish (RAL 9016), this column radiator successfully blends classic period style with contemporary design, making it a popular choice for both traditional and modern settings.

The 1800mm x 180mm Traditional Column Radiator is compatible with all central heating systems and will plumb directly into your existing pipe work. It is supplied complete with wall mounting brackets, but you should purchase a BestBathrooms.com floor mounting kit (see essential extras box above), if the floor mounting option is preferred.

A combination of timeless design and impressive performance make this traditional cast iron style radiator a must-have item for any room in the house, from modern dining rooms and kitchens to traditional Victorian and Edwardian bathrooms. With its tall, slim profile, the 1800mm x 180mm column radiator is ideal for installation in situations where high heat output is required, but there is limited space for a radiator with a conventional shape.

Please note: Angled radiator valves are required, but not supplied with the traditional cast iron style column radiator. For perfect results, we recommend that you choose your radiator valves from the standard and thermostatic angled radiator valves in the BestBathrooms.com range.

BTU Calculator

Radiator efficiency, is measured in British Thermal Units (BTU). The dimensions of a room are used to calculate the BTU output required to heat that room. Radiators all have a known and calculated BTU output. Using the BTU outputs in the Product Specification or description above, it is easy to calculate the size of radiator you need to help provide the total heat output necessary for your room.

How to calculate BTU requirement

The best way is to ask your plumber to perform the calculation for you. If you don't have access to a plumber, you can use the BTU Calculator below as a guide. Please note that the calculated figure relates to the combined heat output of all radiators in the room, therefore the towel rail or radiator that you purchase need not satisfy the entire BTU output if it is used to complement existing radiators.
