Top Tips for a Clutter Free Bathroom

Create order from chaos with some storage ideas. Turn bathroom carnage into bathroom calm. All it takes is a little organisation.

There are people who would like to see their bathroom floor once in a while. You don’t have to be Mary Poppins to get control over the clutter in your bathroom.

The key is to make sure that there is a place for everything and that everything has a place.

Vanity units

Extra storage is produced in an instant by vanity units. All that space under the basin is not wasted anymore and can be used to store stuff.

There are all kinds of designs available from trendy to traditional and they come in different colours as well. Obviously, if you are a dab hand with the paint brush you can paint them yourself.

Just think of all those bottles, cans, ointments, deodorants, flannels, shampoos, soaps, bath foam and perfumes can now all be cleared out of the way and into the vanity unit.

Instead of them cluttering up the side of the bath, the floor or the windowsill they all are within easy reach but out of sight.

Shelves

Toothbrushes, razors, cotton wool buds and other things that are used on a daily, or even twice daily, basis you can put on a shelf.

A nice glass shelf will fit a contemporary bathroom whereas a pine shelf will suit the more old-style room. Place it near your basin so that when you are half-asleep in the morning you can brush your teeth without too much effort.

One shelf can look a bit lonely and it is a good idea to have a shelf for him and one for her as this can help to avoid arguments.

Bathroom cabinets

Like the vanity units you can place whatever you want in a bathroom cabinet. Because they tend to be high up many people tend to keep medicines in them as they are usually out of reach of children.

Some bathroom cabinets can multi-task as mirrors so that you get a bathroom mirror and cabinet in one unit. This is ideal if space is tight in your bathroom and you need a cabinet and a mirror.

Word of warning – there are people who like to snoop in bathroom cabinets. So store something private in a safe and not in your bathroom cabinet.
