Our roles as a company

As a member of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS) BestBathrooms.com is committed to providing customers who are purchasing new electrical equipment with the opportunity to recycle their unwanted electric goods free of charge.

In addition to BestBathrooms.com's support of WEEE our company is also working to reduce its carbon footprint and last year invested in solar PV panels, which are used to power our head office and warehouse facilities in Burnley.

Why is it important to recycle?

Many electrical items can either be repaired or recycled which helps to save natural resources and better the environment.

Electrical equipment which is not recycled ends up in landfill where hazardous substances can leak out, resulting in the contaminations of water and soil which can be harmful to wildlife and human health.

How do I know which electrical items to recycle?

As a reminder to recycle your electrical items applicable goods now come with the following label.

Please do not dispose of any electrical equipment including those marked with this symbol in your bin.

Recycling your old electricals

You can recycle your old electrical devices free of charge at your local recycling centre. To find your nearest centre, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, BestBathrooms.com is now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries.

To find your nearest waste portable battery recycling facility visit www.recyclenow.com.

Alternatively, most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
